NJ Coalition for Fair Broadcasting on Apr 15 announces it has withdrawn its challenges to license renewals of 4 NY TV stations after getting pledges that they would improve their news and public-affairs coverage of NJ and devote more air time to it; WNEW-TV has pledged to devote 1/3 of its Gabe Pressman news int and Midday Live programs to NJ issues and figures; pledges made by WNEW, WCBS, WNBC and WABC also committed stations to assign full-time reporters to NJ; coalition repts it is still negotiating with WOR, WPIX and WNET and Phila stations; coalition, led by Sens Harrison A Williams Jr and Clifford P Case and Mayor Kenneth A Gibson, succeeded in securing similar set of agreements form 6 NY stations in '72
