Celosvětově prodal dohromady 21 milionů nosičů jen těchto multiplatinových alb a celkem přes 30 milionů svých nahrávek, čím se řadí mezi nejúspěšnější rappery všech dob. Roku 2010 získal svou první cenu Grammy. Jako první umělec vydal samostatný mixtape, a to 50 Cent Is the Future (2002). Také jako první vydal bonusové DVD s hudebními videoklipy ke všem písním z alba (The Massacre, 2005).
V roce 2000 přežil pokus o vraždu, při kterém byl devětkrát zasažen projektilem ráže 9 mm, díky čemu si vysloužil přezdívku Bulletproof (Neprůstřelný). V současnosti je jedním z nejbohatších rapperů světa a mimo hudby se věnuje herectví a podnikání v nejrůznějších oborech. Je zakladatelem hudebního labelu G-Unit Records. Založil také dvě produkční společnosti – G-Unit Films and Television Inc. a Cheetah Vision. V TV tvorbě proslul zejména na stanici Starz s univerzem seriálu Power (2014–2020), který se dočkal i několika spin-offů: Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan a Power Book IV: Force.
